Fried Chicken for All…
Yesterday, as we pulled out of the parking spot at church, my cherubs began chanting, “Fried-Chick-En. Fried-Chick-En. Fried-Chick-En.” We don’t regularly eat out because, well, five kids. Occasionally, though, we swing by the Meijer store near our church and take home an easy hot lunch. I just have to tell you about the great deal they offer.
We have eaten Meijer fried chicken on occasion over the last several years. Awhile ago, I stumbled upon a dinner deal that makes this option super appealing and affordable. For $10.99, you can get either a 10 piece dark meat or 8 piece mixed meat, plus two large sides and four Hawaiian rolls.
Yesterday, I bought one 8 piece and one 10 piece meal. I got two sides of potato wedges which the deli person put into a large container. My other two sides were mac and cheese and mashed potatoes and gravy. This fed all 7 of us a full lunch and there are leftovers for those that especially love fried chicken. As you can see from the photo, it is a massive amount of food for $22+ tax.
