The Little Tykes Jump and Slide Bouncer Saved My Sanity When My Five Were All Tiny….
Last week I was talking to a woman who raised four daughters. I babysat for those girls for many years when they were babies. So, it is crazy to me that they are all married and having babies of their own now. I guess that is life, right? The girls’ mom was telling me that all her daughters have had sons. This reality has thrown her for a loop. She said, “My girls sat. They read books, colored pictures, played with dolls, did puzzles. I don’t know what to do with these boys. They roll everywhere and are always on top of each other.”

I laughed because, she is so right. When two or more boys are together, some kind of touching is involved, and usually, it is rough play. I told her that one of my secrets to sanity when they were all little was a bounce house. For real. We had a Little Tykes bounce house in our basement that was always ready for activity. I vividly remember taking the kids down to the basement and working on my Bible study homework while they bounced. When they got a little older, I would send them down to bounce by themselves.
By the time we passed our bouncer on to another family, after at least 6 years of use, the seams were a little loose from all of the use, but it was still in good shape. If you have little people, boys or girls, and the space to accommodate a jumper like this, I recommend you consider having one at your house. I am so thankful for all the years we had a bouncer at our house.
